Red Light LED Mask Benefits: Red, Blue, Green and Yellow Light Explained

A red light LED mask may include additional colors, depending on the device. Each mode has a different intended role; a multi-color mask does not automatically provide all of the benefits below.

Light colors at a glance

Red 630–700 nm Studied for collagen support, the appearance of fine lines and skin elasticity.
Blue 400–470 nm Used to target acne-causing bacteria; it is not a guaranteed solution for breakouts or oily skin.
Green 520–560 nm Marketed for calming the skin and improving uneven pigmentation; evidence and results vary.
Yellow 580–595 nm Marketed for soothing redness and swelling and supporting circulation; benefits are not established for every device.
